Publicists and PR People

Publicists, PR people and agents that claim to represent artists, are one of the most ignorant groups of people. They have NO understanding of alternative independent media, and are too stupid to realize that underground Local Newspapers, Public Television, Internet sites, can actually "publicize" the artists that they represent.

These retarded PR people grovel towards mainstream media. Doing this, gives more power to mainstream media who are only interested in making that artist a commodity while showing a complete disrespect for the artist at the same time.

The best way for an artist (a talented one) is to independently manage themselves without listening to the bad advice of PR people.

Essentially, having a PR person manage an artist's publicity is like throwing away whatever last hope that artist ever had for any real publicity. Thus the word “publicist” is an incorrect word. The correct word for a publicist is Ignoramus.
